Buy nowHappy holidays, brandon. Let me share some important details regarding removing the date from the invoice line item in your QuickBooks Self-Employed.
When you preview the PDF of your invoice, you may notice a date column that appears by default. This column is an integral part of the invoice design created by the developers and cannot be removed. Please note that the date displayed is system-generated and cannot be customized.
You can check out this article to learn how sales tax works in QBSE: Manually track sales tax in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
You can always get back to us if you have other questions regarding invoices in QBSE. The Community space is always available if you need assistance.
The dates on all of the invoices are all blank, so it just looks empty and poorly designed. It would be nice to be able to remove the column entirely. Hopefully something changes in the future.
Hello, Brandon.
I understand you want to eliminate the date information from the invoice line item. However, I regret to inform you that our system is designed so that this feature cannot be modified or removed. The date information is a crucial component of our invoicing process and is necessary for record-keeping.
However, I suggest sending feedback to our Product Engineering team. You can do so by logging in to your QBSE account, clicking on the Assistant, then Feedback, and clicking the Add a feature button. This will take you to a page where you can fill out a form and submit your feedback directly to the appropriate department.
When submitting your feedback, please provide as much detail as possible, including any relevant information, such as the product or feature you are referring to, the issue you are experiencing, and any suggestions you may have for improvement. This will help our team better understand your feedback and take appropriate action.
For more tips and other resources you can use in the future, I recommend visiting our website: Self-help articles.
We take all feedback seriously and use it continuously to improve our products and services. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and helping us improve our products for all our users. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Have a great day!
Hello Brandon,
I would also like to agree with the previous comments regarding the date column. These are the little things that really make small business' like us move away from Quickbooks and not upgrade. The community has asked for so many changes to be able to customize the invoicing process. I know because I myself have asked for many changes, like a project/job field. I am confident that no one asked for a non-editable blank date column to be added.
New Year's resolution: Look into accounting software that listens to their customer base and implicates changes/revisons in a timely fashion.
Patrick
Sorry Brandon that wasn't directed at you. It was meant to be directed at Quickbooks
