Hi there, @bwg.
We hear your sentiments and understand that having a more specific report will give you a better experience with the program.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We will let our developers know about the feature you want them to add in the future.
As a workaround, here are the closest reports you can pull up to view that info: Purchases by Vendor Detail and Transaction List by Customer.
The Purchases by Vendor Detail will show the individual lines of the item.
Here's how:
- On the left navigation panel, click Reports.
- Type in Purchases by Vendor Detail in the search field.
- Click Filter.
- Select Bill on the Transaction type dropdown.
- Click Run report.
The Transaction List by Customer will filter the customer to the specific projects and transactions.
Here's how:
- On the left navigation panel, click Reports.
- Type in Transaction List by Customer in the search field.
- Go to Customize.
- Click Filter.
- Select Bill on the Transaction type dropdown.
- Choose the specific project on the Customer dropdown.
- Click Run report.
After exporting the two reports, you'll need to cross-reference the reports to differentiate which is in the same project.
I've attached an article to help you filter specific data to show in the right place: Customize Reports in QuickBooks Online.
