How can I turn off QBO Automatic Assignments to expense categories? Going back and trying to fix each transaction is killing me. I'd rather just do it myself.

I am having to correct and recategorize dozens of transactions that QBO is automatically categorizing. The accuracy is terrible and its extremely inconsistent. So I just want to know how to turn off the "auto" feature so I can handle the categorization myself.

You can turn off QBO Automatic Assignments to expense categories?

 

  1. Go to Gear, then Account and Settings.
  2. Choose the Expenses tab.
  3. Mark the box next to Make expenses and items billable and Markup with a default rate of.
  4. Hit Save.
