How do I add a line item to the budget ?

The lines showing on the Budget page will depend on your Chart of Accounts (COA). You can add a line in your budget by adding an account to the COA.

Here's how:

1. From the Accounting menu, select Chart of Accounts.
2. Click New.
3. Pick an Account Type and complete the needed information.
4. Once you're done, select Save and Close.

After that, let's go to the Budget page to check if the line is successfully added. You can go to the Gear icon, select Budgeting, and then click Add budget.

Also, you can view the special budget reports that can help you keep track of your budget goals. You may follow these steps.

1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Budgeting.
2. Find your budget on the list.
3. Click the Action drop-down menu and then click Run Budget Overview report or Run Budgets vs. Actuals report.

Additionally, feel free to customize the report to get the details that you'd like to see. Then, memorize it to save its current customized settings for easy access.
