Buy nowHi there, @FTSF. Let's verify your payment accounts so you can add Venmo as a payment method in QuickBooks.
You'll want to ensure that your payments account is already set up and approved so you can process bank transfers/ACH, PayPal, Venmo, and credit cards. Then, click Accept PayPal in the Sales menu so that Venmo will be available as your payment option. Or follow the steps below:
Also, make sure that you're using the new invoice experience. Then, create an invoice and make sure Venmo is set as a Payment Method. Fill out the invoice and send it to your customer. For more details, see this article: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online.
Once your customers open the invoice email, they'll be able to use Venmo if their account is set up. Your customer can then select the Buy with Venmo option and pay. For complete information on how to use Venmo as the payment option in QBO, see this article: Use PayPal and Venmo with QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, you can run the Invoices and Received Payments report. This will let you review all the invoices and the payments that are applied to them. Just go to the Reports menu and type in the name of the report in the Search bar.
Please post or comment in this thread if you have additional questions about adding a payment method or anything else. I'm always ready to lend a hand. Keep safe.
Thank you for your reply JoesemM
When I go to Account and Settings and then Sales the only place I see payment options is under "Invoice Payments". When I click to edit there are only CC including Apple Pay and bank pay options. There isn't any option for Venmo or PP. Looked under all the other categories as well with no luck.
Hi,
So I have had a Payments account for multiple years now. It is all set up. When I follow your instructions there isn't a PayPal/Venmo option under Sales. The only place I would assume it would be is under Invoice payments (under Sales). There IS no option listed there.
Hello there, @FTSF. I'll point you in the right direction to get this sorted out as soon as possible.
I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team. This way, they can access your account in a secure environment and investigate why you don't have PayPal/Venmo in your payment options when processing customer payments. I'll gladly input the steps below to get you going:
For more details, you can check this article: QuickBooks Online Support.
Additionally, here's an article to help you manage invoice payments inside QBO: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.
@FTSF, let me know how it goes. As always, I've got you covered, and I'll be ready to provide further assistance with this. Stay safe, and have a good one!
OK thanks KurtKyle! Hopefully I get someone who's accent I can understand...
