How do I Bundle Billable Expenses and add Markup to Invoices

I appreciate how proactive you are, L6. I understand how significant it is to add billable time or expenses into a bundle in your QuickBooks Online. However, you weren't able to accomplish this because of your current subscription which is Essential.

As my colleague has mentioned you'll need to upgrade your subscription for the reason of adding billable time or expenses into a bundle for this is only available in QBO Plus and Advance.

On the other hand, I encourage you to submit your feedback. This way, our product developer may check on it and consider it.

Here's how:

1. Select the Gear Icon. Located in the upper right corner of the screen.

2. Click Feedback, then feel free to share your thoughts.

3. Tap Next.

Moreover, I'm adding this article if ever you want to edit your billing, and subscription information: Update billing, subscription, and firm info in QuickBooks Online Accountant.

If you still have questions regarding how to add billable time or expenses into a bundle in your QuickBooks Online and other data interpretations. Please don't hesitate to click Reply below. I'm just a click away.

Well, I took a shot at it and paid for the upgrade to Plus.  No change.  Cleared cache, logged out and back in, tried different browsers, etc.

Contacted support through the QBO interface and got a call back quickly.  Lady was professional and knew her stuff, but could not make it work either on a web call with me.

In the end she had to elevate it to her next tier, and later came back to me with an email that in part said the following:

Unfortunately this issue is a product limitation. Since our developers based the adding of features by the number of requests they received from customers like you, let me send another feedback on your behalf. The more request they will get, the likely it'll be implemented in the future.

Seems I have two different answers from two different parts of QuickBooks… and it isn’t working on with the Plus subscription.

So, @Jovelyn_M and @LeizylM, can you have a chat with those folks and help me sort this?

This is totally unacceptable.  "Group" and "Subtotal" Item Type functionality are essential when creating invoices.  The fact that this does not exist/work in QB Online makes the product unworkable for most businesses.  We have a QB database with thousands of invoices in it, all using this functionality.  The idea that we should suggest this to QB Developers so they can prioritize the development of these Items  is absurd to me.  This functionality is "essential" and needs to work in QB Online if Intuit wants anyone running a business to use the online version.

Well as of the latest upgrade to QBO, the ability to manipulate bundles is completely gone.  I spent 2 hours on the phone with QBO trying to figure out why I couldn't drag and drop my expenses into the bundles I have been using to bill for the last 2+ years.  My November invoices worked perfectly.  No notice of this change from anyone at Quickbooks.  I go to start building my December invoices and the function is gone.  Come on QBO you are better than this.  DON"T take away a function that is critical to billing.
