How do I change email notification emails in bill pay?

Thank you for reaching out to us about your Online bill Pay concern. I'm here to help you update the information in QuickBooks Online.

 

You can access the email preferences for Bill Pay to make changes to the notifications. This section is available in the Account and settings section of your QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Account and settings.
  2. Select Bill Pay.
  3. Press Email preferences.
  4. Hit the edit icon (pencil).
  5. Choose your preferences and select Save.

 

In case you're trying to update the registered email address for the notifications, please contact our dedicated support team. They have the necessary tools to update the details on your behalf.

 

Please reach them through these steps:

 

  1. Click the Help tab in the upper-right corner.
  2. Go to the Assistant tab.
  3. Click Get help from a human.
  4. Choose Chat with us or Have us call you.

This only changes the subscriptions owners email....I want to change the vendors email? How do  you do that?

You can change a vendor's email address by editing their profile.

 

Here's how:

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to Expenses.
  2. Access your Vendors tab.
  3. Find the one you need to make updates for.
  4. Click their display name.
  5. Hit Edit.
  6. Enter the new email address in your Email field.
  7. Select Save.

How do I change email notification emails in bill pay?

You are wrong.  VERY WRONG.  I've done that multiple times.  I am trying to change in PAY BILLS ON LINE. The vendor email you are listing is NOT for that.  I've changed it.  It does not change it in bill pay.  It does seem the most logical.  I have called QB 3-4 times, I have called bill pay.  Worthless.  No one can answer this question.

Then I went into using "pay bills on line" and AS I AM Paying...... BEFORE I hit send payment there is an edit button.  I clicked it and changed the email notice this payment was being sent to.  I just did it.  I am waiting verification the correct email got it. If this did not work there is no other fix, unless I delete the entire vendor from bill pay and reenter as a new one.

I am not positive this has worked as the vendor has has not gotten back to me (it takes 2 days for them to get fund)  BUT THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE IT HAS OFFERED TO EVEN CHANGE IT.  

Work arounds....Quickbooks online.
