You can't using the print shortcut.
Instead, open the Journal, then pick Transaction Journal from the bottom of the Reports menu.
Then adjust the columns as needed and then print.

Thank you! Found it and that solved my problem. Really appreciate it.

I had to export to Excel. I make multiple JE's at year end and the report lumps everything by date range, not by JE number... OR ANYTHING. It's date range or die. So, I export to excel and cut and paste. I will never understand why QB does not let users adjust column widths to print. I wish I had a different accounting option.
Hello, @AAG.
When you create a journal entry, it'll be convenient if there's a feature that will let you change the column width from the print preview page. That’ll surely be a great addition to the current features that we have, so I’ll take note of it and send them to our Product Development team.
For now, you can visit the QuickBooks Blog to check for new updates and features that we have.
Here’s more information on how to run transaction journal report: View the Transaction Journal report in QuickBooks Desktop. In case you’ve encountered any errors when printing reports in the future, here’s a guide on how to get this resolved: Error: You do not have a PDF viewer installed on your computer.
We're always here if you need help about your reports.
Thank you!!! You don't know how much of a pain the JE reports with chopped off columns has been for me. There really should be a fix by QB.
