How do I change the order of the columns in a Quickbooks Online report?

I want to run a P&L with columns for current period, prior year and prior month, and also a column for percent of income (related to current period). When I choose all of those, the percent of income is on the far right, next to the prior period. How do I move the column with the percent of income next to the current period (the period to which it relates)? I used to be able to do this by clicking the "customize" button and going down to rows/columns, but it appears that option is gone?!

I'm pleased to have you here in the Community, @Anonymous. I'll share some information about your concern, along with the steps on how you can rearrange the columns in your report.

Depending on the report, you can arrange its column to your preference. If you are going to customize a Profit and Loss Detail, the option to rearrange its section is unavailable. But if you customize a standard P&L report, you can organize the columns in a few simple steps. To begin, here's how:

  1. On the left navigational bar, go to Reports tab.
  2. In the Search tab, type Profit and Loss report.
  3. Select the report and then click the Customize button.
  4. Go to Change columns section and then add check mark to each of the items there.
  5. Select an item and then drag the square icon beside the checkmark up or down to arrange them.

Another workaround that you can consider is to export your report into an Excel file, and then from there, you can manually rearrange its columns. This option works on any of the reports available in QuickBooks Online.
