How do I confirm an email was sent to a customer? Had a customer accept an estimate but we have no record of it being sent.

How do I confirm an email was sent to a customer? Had a customer accept an estimate but we have no record of it being sent.

There are two ways to confirm this, Mark22.

 

First is through the Audit Log report by filtering it to show the Transactions and Time Events. This will display the actions made by all the users in QBO. From there, look for the entries that says Emailed, followed by the transaction type.

 

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under Tools, select Audit Log.
  3. Click the Filter button.
  4. Set the date range.
  5. Under Events, select the Show only these events radio button.
  6. Check the boxes for Transactions and Time Events.
  7. Select All Transactions in the Show drop-down.
  8. Click the Apply button.

The second one is through the Transaction List by Customer report. You can filter the report to display the Sent column.

 

Here's how:

  1. Click Reports on the left panel.
  2. Type Transaction List by Customer in the search box.
  3. Click the Customize button in the upper right-hand corner of the report.
  4. Maximize the Rows/Columns section, and then click the Change columns link.
  5. Check the box for Sent.
  6. Maximize the Filter section, check the box for Sent, and then select All from the drop-down.
  7. Click the Run report button.

With these reports, you'll be able to confirm who emailed the transactions and when they were sent to the customers.
