How do I create a budget upload for each class so it uploads correctly?

Quickbooks allows you to create a budget template in a csv file, but it is at the consolidated level.  How do I get a template so I can upload per class?

How do I create a budget upload for each class so it uploads correctly?

Hello there, Wendy.

I can share information on how you can create a budget per class to help you manage your finances.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can upload a .csv file for your budget. It's indeed convenient to have different templates depending on your existing data. However, the budget per class template is currently unavailable.

Alternatively, you can manually create a budget by class within QBO Plus and Advanced. You can also use Spreadsheet Sync for QBO Advanced for up-to-date company insights.

Here's how:

  1. Proceed to the Gear icon, then select Budgeting.
  2. Click on Create a Budget.
  3. On Budget format, pick the Subdivided budget.
  4. Either choose Location or Class under Subdivided by.
  5. Click on Next to start.
  6. Fill in all the necessary details, then select Save.

In addition, you can utilize a third-party application that can help you with the task through this website: QuickBooks App Store | Online Tools to Power Your Business.

Moreover, I'm adding these resources to guide you in generating financial reports to keep you updated on how your business is doing:
