How do I delete a deposit that is not associate with and invoice?

We are new with QB on line.  I entered a deposit into our operating account.  It is not associated with any invoice.  How do I delete the deposit?  I do not need to keep a record of it as it was  for practice.  Can't you go into the bank account and delete from there?  Thank you.

How do I delete a deposit that is not associate with and invoice?

Hello, @mfrola-schatzins.

I appreciate you using QuickBooks Online as part of your business. I'm happy to walk you through the steps to delete a deposit.

Yes, you're right. If a deposit is manually entered, we can go to the Bank Register and locate the deposit from there. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the bank account you put the deposit into and select View register.

  3. Search for the bank deposit and select it to get more details.
  4. Click Delete and tick Yes to confirm.
