How do I delete a memorized report?

Hello there, @Propool.

I'm here to help share information so you'll able to delete a memorized report/list in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac.

To delete the memorized report/list in QBDT for Mac, you may follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Memorized Reports list.
  2. Click/highlight on the list/report you want to delete.
  3. Press on Command+D on your keyboard.

Once completed, you can now delete the memorized report successfully.

You can see attached screenshot for additional reference.

How do I delete a memorized report?

This is what my Memorized Report menu looks like, and it's nothing like the image you posted in your answer. Neither a right-click nor Cmd-D has any effect on the menu. As you can see, my previously created and now useless reports are piling up and I want to cull the list.

Thank you for the screenshot you provided, bbnoonan.

You'll want to select a specific report first before you press on Command+on your keyboard. Repeat the steps for all memorized reports.

I'm adding this article for future reference: QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2019 User’s Guide.

Let me know if it worked. I'll be here if you need further assistance.

How do I delete a memorized report?

I am having the same problem on my Mac.  When I right click or use cmd D after I have highlighted a memorized report, the report just opens.  It does not delete it.  Did you figure out a solution?

Thanks for joining the thread, @Roundhouse1.

I hope you're having a great week. As for deleting memorized reports, I suggest removing them from the Reports Center. This will allow you to see the full list of your reports that you can delete. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports tab and select Reports Center.
  2. Navigate to the Memorized tab.
  3. In the top right-hand corner, choose Edit Memorized Lists.
  4. Go through the list of reports and right-click or press Command + D to delete each one.

Now you know how to delete your memorized reports.

Please let me know if this gets you back to business. I'll keep an eye out for your response.

How do I delete a memorized report?

I am in Report Center.  I do not see a Memorized Tab.  There is a list of memorized reports on the left side of the window.

On the top right there is only "Search Reports"

How do I delete a memorized report?

I am on Quickbooks for Mac.  OS High Sierra

The reason I want to delete memorized reports is because I am trying to delete some old accounts in chart of accounts and it receive the message that the account is connected to a Memorized transaction.  So I assume if I delete the memorized report that then I can delete the account... is that correct?

Hello there, @Roundhouse1.

Yes, you're right. You'll have to locate the memorized transaction to delete the account.

  1. Go to Lists at the top menu bar.
  2. Click on Memorized Transaction List.
  3. Highlight the memorized transaction.
  4. Press on Command on your keyboard.
  5. Click OK for the confirmation.

You can visit our website in case you have any other QBDT for Mac concerns in the future.

Add a comment if you have any other questions about deleting memorized transactions or any QuickBooks concern. I'm here to help. Take good care.

How do I delete a memorized report?

Thanks for coming back, Roundhouse1.

The option to delete a long list of memorized transactions at once is unavailable. We need to select a specific report first and press on Command+on your keyboard to delete them.

Yes, you're right, we need to delete the memorized transaction first before deleting the reports.

Here's how:

  1. Click Lists on the top menu.
  2. Choose Memorized Transaction List.
  3. Highlight the memorized transaction.
  4. Press on Command on your keyboard.
  5. Hit OK.

I have a link here that provides you with articles about managing your reports: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/reports/07?product=QuickBooks%20Desktop%20for%20Ma....

I'm just one reply comment away if you need a hand with entering transactions or any QuickBooks related. I'm glad to help.
