Buy nowIf the vehicle is classified as a non-primary vehicle, you can mark it as inactive to keep your records organized. I'll walk you through the process to achieve this, Immanuel.
In QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), there's no option to delete a vehicle entirely, but marking it inactive will effectively remove it from your list of active vehicles. As long as you don’t track any expenses related to that vehicle, it won’t affect your financial reports at all.
Here’s how to mark a vehicle as inactive:
1. Access your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
2. Go to Miles.
3. Click the drop-down arrow beside Add trip.
4. Select Manage vehicle.
5. Choose the vehicle, then click Vehicle no longer in use.
Additionally, I have a helpful article on managing bank transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Your perspective on this is valuable, Ait. However, instead of deleting the vehicle, we can make it set to inactive. Let me guide you through the steps.

Why can we not remove a primary vehicle? My vehicle was totaled and I do not own it anymore. This is asinine, and it is the most frustrating thing I face when filing my taxes.

None of these suggestions have worked. Is there any other option? I might have to use another service if I can't figure this out.
Thanks for chiming in, @NicholasPNW.
Currently, there isn't a way to fully remove a vehicle from your list. However, you can make the vehicle inactive, effectively removing it from your active vehicle list. This won't affect your financial reports if you don't track any expenses related to that vehicle. You can make it inactive by using the steps my colleagues provided above.
