Hello ,
When you said "Go to Report drop-down arrow under Action column" is this report tab on left if it is I don't see Action Tab.
Currently I have just inactivated the class I would like to delete it. Help!!
Thank you
I'm here to sort things out with you, situ.
The Run report drop-down is in the Classes list page. Also, we can't totally delete a Class however, we can inactivate them which also reduces the number of usage. I'll provide the steps again and have attached some screenshots for your reference.
If we want to see a list of all our classes including the inactive ones, still in the Classes page, click the small gear icon above the ACTION column.
We can also run reports that have classes with in it. You can refer to this article for more details on how to add classes on a report.
Feel free to get back to me if you need anything else. Take care!
Thank you for your help :)
I did inactivated the class however I was looking to permanently delete it. I by mistake created it now even If i inactivated the class, every time I try to accept the transactions it keeps asking for selecting a class. I don't have any other classes set up before, this was the first time. so thought may be if I could permanently delete it it will stop asking to classify.
Hey situ. Thanks for your response. To answer the question though, currently once the class tracking is turned on there is no way to permanently delete created classes, only to set them as inactive. If you have any other questions though, just let me know I'm happy to assist you further.
I am not finding the Gear Icon
Hi Jackie49,
You'll have to go to your dashboard so you can find the Gear icon on the upper right corner. I've attached a screenshot for your reference.
Once done, you can follow the steps mentioned by @Catherine_B to make the Class as inactive.
You also want to run reports by class to keep track of each segment in your business: Run Reports By Class.
Post a reply if you have other concerns. I'll make sure to help.
Why does "This class can't be deleted because it is used in a recurring template or scheduled liability payment." pop up when I try to inactivate a class and what can I do to make the class able to be deactivated?
Greetings,@MrsElaine.
