How do I find previous Quotes / Estimates or an item?

I need to be able to find previous quotes for items by item, regardless if whether they were ordered or not.  For example, If a customer ask for a quote on Widget A, an existing item in my QB item list, I would like to be able to quickly see where I have quoted or sold Widget A in the past.  If I run a Quick report from the Item List, I see Sales / purchase history, but I don't see quotes / estimates.  Currently I have to manually search through quotes / estimates that I "think" may be relevant in order to find a previous quote (in order to check pricing / lead time, etc.)

How do I find previous Quotes / Estimates or an item?

Hi there, @amartin.

You can utilize the Find feature in your QuickBooks Desktop to show all your previous estimates by item. Let me guide you through the steps.

  1. Go to the Edit menu, then select Find.1.PNG
  2. Select the Advanced tab in the Find window.
  3. Under the Filter section, select Transaction Type and choose Estimate from the drop-down.2.PNG
  4. Then, go back to the Filter section and choose Item.
  5. In the Items drop-down, select the appropriate item you want to show.
  6. Click Find.3.PNG

Once done, you'll now see all the estimates made for the item selected. You can repeat steps 4 to 6 for the other item.
