Allow me to provide you with some information about merging a vendor or customer and guide you on what to do. wilsonvillerotar.

To make sure that we're on the same page and to properly address your concern, can you send a screenshot that shows the deleted part? Normally, when you merge a customer or vendor and choose the profile you want to keep, you'll no longer see the previous names that you have changed either on the reports or the customer or vendor profile. If you want to undo a transaction, you'll have to recreate them. You can also edit the transaction itself to the correct customer and vendor name or amount to change to the correct ones.

Additionally, learn how to customize reports so you'll be able to get the information you need. I've got this article for your guide: Customize Reports In QuickBooks Online.

Please touch base with us if you need further assistance with merging vendors, customers, and accounts. We're here to help you anytime.

I understand that the transactions no longer appear... but the vendor / customer does.... showing as 'Deleted'...why?  They were to be merged.
