How do I get rid of the ipay bill pay fee? I dont want bill pay, I dont need bill pay and I feel they are charging me without my permission.

I get a monthly charge for "ipay bill pay fee". I dont rememebr authorizing this and dont think I should be paying it. I would actually like to get a refund for all the charges accrued so far. Anyone have any experience with this scam?

Hi @whoak,

 

It appears you have subscribed to the Online Bill Pay app. I'll share the steps on how you can cancel the subscription.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the + New menu.
  2. Select Pay Bills Online
  3. Hit the Gear icon on this page, then choose Cancel Subscription.
  4. Pick a cancellation reason.
  5. Tap Cancel now

I dont have the "pay bills online" option, only "pay bills".

This did not work as I dont have the "pay bills online" option. I have tried to respond to this several times but it doesn't seem to take.

You'll have to sign up for Online Bill Pay so you'll be able to see the option, whoak.

 

To sign up using a direct link, follow the steps below: 

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to Online Bill Pay Learn More page, then select Get Started.
  3. Enter your company information, then select Next.
  4. Follow the prompts to connect your bank account. 
  5. Select Open, then select Next.
  6. Enter your personal information, then select Next.
  7. Finally, answer a few identity check questions. If you have issues with this process or are declined during the identity check process, contact Intuit's Care Support.

If you want to sign up for Bill Pay through the Apps tab in QuickBooks Online, here's how:

  1. From your QuickBooks Online home page, select the Apps tab on the nav bar.
  2. In the search field, search Bill Pay.
  3. Select Bill Pay for QuickBooks Online app card.
  4. In the app card, you will notice two buttons. Select the Get Bill Pay button.
  5. Once on the Learn More page for Online Bill Pay, select Get Started.
  6. Enter your Company information, then Next.
  7. Now, follow the prompts to connect your bank account. 
  8. Select Open, then select Next.
  9. Enter your personal information, then Next
  10. Lastly, answer a few identity check questions. If you have issues with this process or are declined during the identity check process, contact Intuit's Care Support.

For your reference, you'll want to match and add online bank transactions you've entered in QuickBooks Online.

So I have to sign up for online bill pay to then be able to cancel online bill pay?!? Is that correct or did you not read my question?

If you have to sign up for online bill pay, this would indicate that you don't have online bill pay, or you may have a different account associate with those charges. For this situation, I recommend that you contact our Support Team. They have the tools to pull up your account, review all your billing information and history, and make changes to cancel any account. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Hit the Contact Us button
  3. Enter a brief description of the problem.
  4. Select "Let's Talk"
