How do i keep track of inventory

Hi there, @dsangster1971-ic.

 

Welcome aboard to the Community. I can provide some information about tracking inventory in QuickBooks Online.

 

The feature is available to users using the Plus and Advanced version. It allows you to track what's on hand, get alerts when it’s time to restock and see insights on what you buy and sell.

 

First, turn on inventory tracking through these steps:

 

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and settings.
  2. Go to the Sales tab.
  3. Select Edit ✎ in the Products and services section.
  4. Turn on Show Product/Service column on sales forms.
  5. Enable both Track quantity and price/rate and Track inventory quantity on hand.
  6. Select Save and then Done.

To add products and services:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Products and Services below Lists.
  3. Click New in the upper-right corner. 
  4. Choose Inventory, Non-inventory, Service, or Bundle.
