I ran payroll, and the two payroll checks appear in the check register, but do not have the "to Print" tag, and they do not appear in the "checks to print" list.

Payroll checks indeed appear in the check register. If you’re referring to the Print check list under the + New button, printing them on that page isn’t possible. It can only be done in the Paycheck list under your Payroll menu. I’m glad to walk you through the steps:

Thanks. I knew how to print from the Paycheck List, but was hoping that the paychecks would appear with other checks for batch printing. Your response was very helpful. Printing from the Paycheck List is fine.

In addition to this, you can also pull up a variety of payroll reports in QuickBooks. This will give you a closer look at your employee's total wages, deductions, and tax information in a certain period. the same thing happened to me today -- I cannot believe this function is not available in the online version. how do they think we are going to pay 70 people before they are set up in direct deposit? Yep, it is called a paper check that needs a number and to be printed.
same happened to me today. ridiculous that batch printing paychecks is not an option.
Allow me to explain the available options for printing multiple paychecks, sazzafraz.
Please know that the paychecks in QuickBooks Online aren't automatically added to the print queue. We need to navigate to the Paycheck List and utilize the Batch Action feature to print them all at once.
Additionally, if you haven't assigned transaction numbers when you processed the payroll, we'll have to add them individually before printing the checks. Here are the steps to follow:
