I've been using bank transfers for a year. I can't continue to use bank transfers without offering Venmo and Paypal as options?

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can continue to use bank transfers as a payment option without using Venmo and Paypal. The availability of these options does not affect your ability to use bank transfers.
If you prefer to use bank transfers for your payments, you can continue to do so without any changes. Venmo and Paypal are just additional payment options that may be offered by some services, but they are not mandatory, and you can use the payment method that suits you best.

That didn't answer the question.
The question was to continue offering bank transfer as a payment option BUT not providing the option for Venmo or Paypal at all.
How do I deselect it? It' returns an error telling me to finish setting up payments but none of the links to do so go anywhere.

I have your answer. Switch your invoice view to the "Old Layout".
When you do so, the button to inactive PayPal and Venmo as a payment option becomes editable. For some reason, it is not editable on the new invoice layout. I searched the support forum for answers and finally was able to figure it out by just poking around.
