The inactive customers are usually hidden from the customer list. To view and reactivate them, you'll have to turn on the Include inactive option. Here's how to do it:

I wasn't able to find or reactivate the costumer but I find a lot has changed and I'm relearning to navigate the page. I do not know where to find the sales menu
I can help you with reactivating a customer, @eventsplanner.
You can go to the Get paid & pay section or Sales menu to restore the deleted customer or make it inactive. An inactive customer is still searchable from the Customers page. Just make sure to include all the inactive from that page. Once done, click on the search box beside the Batch actions dropdown and type deleted.
