Hi anna,

I'd be glad to help you with customizing your Budget vs Actual report to show the budget-to-date instead of the fiscal year. Please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Reports, and type Budget vs. Actuals in the search bar.
  2. Click Customize, and change the transaction date to Custom.
  3. Change the date range, and click Run Report

Please let me know if you have further questions. Thanks!

Hello @alice allen,

As of the moment, there isn't to customize your report to add a new line item with a specified subtotal amount before the grand total.

With this, let's consider letting our product developers know about your request by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under PROFILE, select Feedback.
  3. Describe your request in a few words. Say - A new line item total or subtotal of income and expenditures before the overall total of the report.
  4. Click Next.

While the option is not available, you can export a copy of your report as a new Excel file and customize it from there. You can read this article for the steps: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

On top of that, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Account Management for QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other questions, please let me know by leaving any comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand.
