Hi @ElectricalByLance. We can customize the date to show the 2023 report for open invoices. But, to make sure we're on the same page, I'll provide two scenarios to avoid confusion.
If you're referring to "by month" of 2023 report, you can follow the steps below:
- Go to the Reports menu.
- Type "Open Invoices" in the search bar.
- Under the Report period drop-down, select Custom dates.
- Filter the date.
- Run report.
However, if you want to filter a specific date including the previous dates in one report, you can export your data to Excel to organize your reports accordingly.
Here's how:
- From Gear icon, choose Export data.
- On the Reports tab, select the date range.
- To add or remove items from the Reports and Lists tab, switch on/off the button.
- Export to Excel, then hit OK to complete.

In the future, if you'd like to notify your customers of their outstanding balances to avoid late payments, you have the option to Create and send customer statements in QuickBooks Online.
In addition, QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted is another tool that can help you manage your reports and sales forms. To learn more about it, feel free to schedule a free consultation any time.
If the process I outlined for running an open invoice for your 2023 reports needs any clarification, just mention me in the comments below. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Have a good one!
