How do I stop the sales msg about new features from popping up every time I save an invoice? It'is also opening a new blank invoice each time & never used to do that.

Hey there, loiscooks.

Thanks for posting here in the Community.

These ads serve as a guide to help you navigate the software. While there isn't an option to permanently turned them off, you can click the X or No, thanks button. This way, QBO will turn off the ads and remember your choice. Thus, the pop-up won't show up again.

For now, I recommend visiting the Product Updates page to know what's new and coming in the system. This link has topics about the latest improvements in QBO. As far as the blank invoice opening, are you Save and Close or Save and New? If you're choosing Save and New it will open a new invoice automatically.

I look forward to your response. Thank you for your time and have a nice weekend.

Hi Nick,

So there is no x box to close it.  And I am clicking save & close.  Attaching a screenshot of how it looks so you can see what I am talking about.  No matter if I click "Find out more" or "Okay, got it", it comes up for every single invoice.  And then when I click save & close, a new blank invoice pops up.  This has only started happening since these ad pop-up windows started.

Thanks,

Lois

Greetings, @loiscooks,

Thanks for getting back to our forum and providing us a snapshot of the pop-up you want to get rid of.

This confirmation pop-up is a built-in ad for customers who wants to use QuickBooks Advanced. To avoid getting this again, you can disable pop-up windows for your browser.

In the meantime, you can log a product suggestion for our developers, letting them know about managing ads in QuickBooks Online. To do that, follow the steps below:

  1. Tap the Gear icon at the top and choose Feedback.
  2. Add your suggestions and concerns then hit Next.
  3. Once done, press Send message.

If you have other questions or concerns, feel free to connect with me again by adding a new reply below. I'll be glad to help.

I have quickbooks set to block all popups but, those particular messages are still popping up, unfortunately. This means at least 2-3 extra clicks for every invoice.  I've probably worked on 200 invoices or so today.  I will submit a formal complaint, but I really don't understand why QBO staff don't test these sorts of things when they set them up.  I'm already exceedingly frustrated by the changes to sales tax completed earlier this year that took months to get fixed.  I would even volunteer to test out new things before they are released to the general public to help prevent this sort of thing as I am sure I am not the only one affected.  Super frustrating.

It's very annoying that Quickbooks Online is posting a sales message after every invoice is emailed out.

How can this be stopped, super annoying...and it also attempts to open a new invoice copy...which is very confusing and leading to errors.

Stop spamming us QB!

Hi there, kalbertie.

Thanks for joining this thread. I'd be glad to lend a hand regarding the pop-up messages in your QuickBooks Online account.

At this time, the only way to prevent these types of messages is to block pop-ups depending on which browser you're currently using. I'll be sure to pass your feedback along to the Product Development Team to let them know you'd like to see these messages stop after emailing invoices.

There are so many product updates and feature releases that have been implemented directly from great user suggestions like yours. You can keep an eye out for these types of updates by viewing the QuickBooks Blog

Please feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions. I'm only a comment or post away if you need anything.

Quickbooks should not be spamming me with the same pop up every time I email out an invoice.

One time, ok.

Every time, no way.

Please correct this.

I absolutely despise this about Quickbooks. I can't enter a bill or anything else without having to close these annoying messages. Stop advertising features to me! I don't want them! I don't want to see messages about them!

Clicking "find out more" only makes it worse. It generates a sales lead on their end. I accidentally clicked find out more on a payroll advertisement and started getting phone calls, emails, texts and in app pop ups about "completing my payroll setup that I started". Infuriating.
