How do I transfer expense transactions captured with the mobile app (with a receipt image) to a different set of books.

Hi there.

I'm happy to assist in any way I can. When the transactions get added and downloaded, they move to the review tab. To get to this tab, follow these few simple steps listed below.

  1. Go to the banking menu.
  2. Select the blue tile for the account you want to review.
  3. Choose the reviewed tab.
  4. Pick the link in the Added or Matched column to review all transactions.

From this point, you can view the receipt in the review tab. There's not an option to move this receipt to another set of books. However, at this point, you can save the image to your computer and upload it manually. A few clicks and save the image to your computer and your on the way to success:

    1. Right-click on the image.

    2. Select and click "Save image as…

    3. Choose a destination folder for your saved file.

    4. Hit the Save button.

Once the image saves, you will be able to upload this in the new books.

If you have any further questions or concerns, I'm just a post away. :)

We'll have to manually add it to the other account with the receipt attached to it, LPohlmeyer.

You can access the other account and then create and attach the sales receipt again. Here's an article that you can check out for more details on what features you can access and perform on different devices.

I'll be here to help if you need anything else.

I don't have the receipt any more. Once I capture it with my camera, I discard it. I'm sure the image and the expense transaction are linked in the databases somehow. Is there not a backend service available for this? I have about 6 months worth of these transactions that need to be moved.

Thanks, I thought of that option too. There's several ways to open the image and save it. For the hundreds of receipts I have it will be a long and arduous process. I'm hoping that my accountant has a better option, like paying the QBO team to do this on the back end. It would be worth paying for. As a side note, this would be a great option for folks that keep several sets of books. We decided to combine them and use classes instead.
