Buy nowHello there, holly.
I'm here to help you with your concerns.
Before we can dig further and provide you with the information that fits your situation. I'd like to clarify how did the vendor send the 1099? Normally, the employer will send the 1099 to the vendor. After the employer submits 1099-MISC to the IRS, the vendor will get an email when it's ready for download, then the vendor will view it in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Any additional information would be highly appreciated.
I'll be waiting for your response. Take care always!
I got the auto email from quickbooks saying I had a 1099 to view. It is not an "employer" situation. I provided a service for charge to this customer and this customer did their 1099s via Quickbooks and the email was sent via quickbooks. I do the same for the 1099s I provide to my contractors. Where are the 1099s sent to ME from a customer found for viewing? When I click on the View 1099s from the auto email, it does nothing.
I appreciate you taking the time to provide additional details about your concern regarding the 1099 form, holly, holly.
I acknowledge the obstacles you're facing in accessing the emailed 1099 form. Let's work together so you can view the tax form.
When your employer or client submits your 1099-MISC to the IRS, you'll receive an email notification. Simply click on the link provided in the email to access QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) and log in using your Intuit account credentials. From there, you can easily view your 1099 form by following the given steps:

Your answer to login to "Quickbooks Self-employed" to view 1099's sent to ME was worthless and I am a Pro Advisor. My client received the email from Quickbooks saying his 1099 was ready to view. MY CLIENT DOES NOT HAVE AN INTUIT ACCOUNT NOR DOES HE HAS QB SELF-EMPLOYED!!! He does NOT need an Intuit account - I do all of his accounting and Quickbooks is not involved. HOW DO WE GET HIS 1099?? The link in the email is not a link!
Hello there, @debradaz95. I wish you didn't have to go through this hurdle in getting your client's 1099s.
Since you don't want to access it within QuickBooks, one way of getting around this situation is by asking the sender of the 1099 to export the form as a PDF and send it outside the program. This way, they can send it to your client using another online emailing service, and you won't have to avail of any subscription to access the file.
Moreover, you can always refer to this link to review other helpful resources in QBO: Self-help articles.
Let me know if you need further assistance with your 1099s. I'll be here to assist. Take care.
Wondering if you can advise me as I have Quickbooks - don't believe it's Self Employed. What you advise doesn't work. I too was sent an email from a client and and am unable to view the 1099.
I understand that the experience of viewing 1099s from your clients in QuickBooks Online (QBO) should be smooth and straightforward, Jaydee. I'll provide the necessary information to access them quickly and easily.
In QBO, once your client submits the 1099 to the IRS, you will receive an email notification informing you that the forms are available and ready for download. You can click the link in that email and log in to QuickBooks Money to begin viewing your 1099s. Here's how:

In addition, I highly recommend checking this article to guide you on what to do next once you get a hold of your 1099s: File taxes when you have both 1099 and W-2 income.
I'd appreciate it if you could communicate with me in the comment section below if you have any additional questions related to the 1099 forms in QuickBooks. You can count on me, and I'll provide details to help accomplish tasks in the program. Keep safe.
I have a related question. I have Quickbooks for my business. My business email (that I use to log in) is different than my customer email (which is what my clients see in the Quickbooks Business Network). My 1099 from my client was sent via QuickBooks since they pay me via the network. How do i access this 1099 in my main QuickBooks account, since it was (of course) sent to me via the customer email on file in my main QuickBooks account? I do not want to create a separate Quickbooks account under that customer email. I do not want to change the customer email to my business email. Surely there is some way for QuickBooks to associate both emails with my one business account, since both emails are listed within my Company Settings page.
Thanks for your advice!
