The categories that we have in QuickBooks Self-Employed are in line with the IRS schedule C categories for self-employed individuals, @kdsandassociates.
The feature to customize the current categories that we have is still unavailable. It's actually our most requested feature since we launched QBSE. Currently, our Product Development team we're actively researching how we could approach this while preserving the integrity of the Schedule C.
You can also consult an accountant to get advised what account to use when categorizing the transactions.
