How to adjust line up for payee on check?

Hello there, @dewittagency.

Adjusting the lists of the payee when creating a check is currently unavailable.

Please know that the payee list is in alphabetical order. Though you can search for a specific payee, I can see it's beneficial to you to adjust the list.

For now, I suggest submitting feedback directly to our product engineers. This way, they may look into this suggestion and consider adding the option in future updates. To submit feedback, you can click the Gear icon and select Feedback. Then, enter your suggestion and click Submit Feedback.

Want to view all your vendor transactions? You can go to the Expenses menu and select Vendors. Then, select your preferred vendor and see all your transactions under the Transaction List.

It’s nice to work with you, @dewittagency. Don't hesitate to click the Reply button below if you need further assistance managing transactions in QBO.

How to adjust line up for payee on check?

I search for "Ed" (me, owner). I have 25 payees starting with E, including several Eds. My name is always the last one on the pop up search list. How can I change that?

How to adjust line up for payee on check?

It's great to see you here in the Community forum for the first time, Ed. Currently, the order of the payee list when creating a check can't be changed, as it is set to display in alphabetical order. This behavior is by design.

If you want a specific payee to appear in the list, you can simply type in their full name instead. This way, they'll be the only ones displayed in the payee options.

Please feel free to revisit this thread if you have any additional questions.
