How to convert sub customers into projects?

Good day, crj2906. I'd be glad to help you convert sub-customer into projects in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To start, let's make sure to turn on the Projects feature before converting a sub-customer into a project. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Company Settings.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Find the Projects section and select Edit ✎ to expand it.
  4. Turn on the Organize all job-related activity in one place.
  5. Select Save and then Done.

You can refer to this link for instructions and detailed steps: Change sub-customers into projects.

I've added this link if you need help in using the project feature: Set up and create projects in QuickBooks Online

Keep your post coming if you need more help in managing your sub-customers and turning them into a project. Have a good one!

I appreciate you for chiming in on this thread, ToniS1.

Currently, the option to convert sub-customers from a project is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I understand how essential this feature would be for you and your business. I value your feedback, and I'm here to help you relay this valuable input to our software engineers. This way, they can assess your suggestion and might consider incorporating it in our future product updates.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Profile, select Feedback.
  3. Provide a description of your feature request and click Next to submit.

Furthermore, you can track labor costs and profitability once you've set up your projects in QBO. This way, you can review your profits when monitoring your income, expenses, and timesheets.
