Welcome to the Community, @Cmrscan. I'm here to help you delete the information from your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
Before we proceed, I recommend exporting all the reports and lists in your current company file and saving them in your desktop folder. You can use it in the future as a reference or guide.
Next, to delete every data in your company so you can start from scratch the process will depend on how old your subscription is.
If your books are 60 days old or older, you can only cancel your current QBO subscription to start a new one. Once finished, you're now ready to start a new company file by signing up again. I'll guide you on how:
- Sign up for QBO account.
- Then, input your user ID and password. You can use the same user ID and password you used before.
- If you use payroll, make sure to add Payroll in Step 2 of the sign-up process (optional).
However, if it is less than 60 days old, you can delete your company using these steps:
- Log in to your QBO account as the administrator.
- Next, look at the URL in your browser's address bar. Remove all the text after the last / and enter purgecompany.
For example:
- Type Yes to confirm.
- Click OK and then select Wipe data.
