Let me share some helpful information about estimate to invoice conversion in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
If you use QuickBooks Payments and asked for a deposit for your estimate, the estimate will immediately become an invoice when the money is received from your client. This is a default feature in QuickBooks Payments.
I've got an article for you to learn more about the process of converting estimate to invoice: Convert an estimate into an invoice in QuickBooks Online.
You know where to go if you have questions managing estimates and invoices or anything QuickBooks. Enjoy the day.
Thanks but that's not my issue. When a customer accepts an estimate it is automatically converted into an invoice and the value is reflected as income. My jobs are often 6-12 months wait time from estimate approval to job start. At the moment I'm forced to void the invoice which reverts the transaction back to an accepted estimate. I want to disable this auto conversion and manually convert my estimates to invoices.
