How to enter checks into QBO from an Excel Spreadsheet

Hi there, @Steve70x7.

Having the ability to import checks in QuickBooks Online from an Excel file would be a great option. It would help save as you won't have to enter them manually.

I encourage you to add your vote for this one by sending a feature request in the Feedback section within QuickBooks. Our product development team reviews all the feedback we receive to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our customers.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
    Capture.JPG
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions then select Next.
  3. You'll be provided a list of suggested Help articles related to your comment. You can read through them or select Skip and send message.
  4. From the drop-down, choose the appropriate category, then select Send message.

For your reference, check out this link: How to Submit Feedback.

In the meantime, you'll want to visit our Intuit App Center and look for an importer tool that you can integrate with QuickBooks.

Keep in touch so we can help your further with importing. I'll be happy to assist. Take the best care!

How to enter checks into QBO from an Excel Spreadsheet

Monthly, I need to import the split transactions for Amazon company purchases (one automatic payment made for Amazon credit card). I used to do this with an excel spreadsheet that I turned into an IIF. Quickbooks desktop could import this directly. Intuit is telling me that I need to pay a monthly fee for a third party app. QBO has some basic import ability, but Intuit doesn’t know of a way to import a check with split transactions. I'm a small company and can't afford yet another monthly fee. IMO, not allowing a direct IIF or similar (csv) import for checks with split transactions and other entries is a major deficiency for a high end/high cost product like QBO.

@radolf

Explore csv2qbo converter tool as a workaround. You only need to pay a one time license fee ($60).
