How to find inactive accounts --QB Desktop

I'm cleaning up my QB Desktop (Pro Plus 2021). There are a number of accounts I no longer need and want to make Inactive. I started this process but don't want to continue until I can locate these Inactive Accounts if need be. Please advise.

How to find inactive accounts --QB Desktop

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, rahmama. I'd be more than happy to guide you through how to find your list of inactive accounts.

You can access the inactive account list from your chart of accounts screen.

Here's how:

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Lists.
  2. Choose Chart of Accounts.
  3. Click your Account ▼ drop-down list.
  4. Select Show Inactive Accounts.

Now each inactive account will be displayed with an X icon to the left of their Name column. You can use these icons to reactivate accounts.

I've also included a detailed resource about working with your chart of accounts which may come in handy moving forward: Learn about the chart of accounts

If there's any questions, I'm just a post away. Have an awesome day!
