Some credit cards won't allow direct import of your bank statements in QuickBooks, Reach2.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) automatically downloads credit card transactions via bank feeds once the account is linked online. However, it does not always import the actual credit card statements automatically.

The error you’re encountering indicates that the automatic import of bank statements into this credit card is unsupported. Not all banks and credit cards are fully compatible with QBO’s direct upload of bank statements.

As a workaround, I recommend manually attaching your bank statement during the reconciliation process.

Here’s how:

  1. Follow the usual steps to reconcile your account.
  2. When you reach the end, select Finish Now.
  3. Then choose Attach statement to upload your bank statement.

You can also attach statements manually if you pause or finish a reconciliation. This saves the statement with the reconciliation, keeping it accessible for your records.

To review your reconciled bank statements, here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions and select Reconcile.
  2. Click History by account.
  3. Find the statement you want to view.
  4. Select Attachments in the Statements column to open the statement.

For more detailed information, this article may help: Obtain bank statements directly from your bank when reconciling.

You may also find this article helpful if you want to view, print, or export a reconciliation report in QBO: How do I view, print, or export a reconciliation report?
