How to manage FBA inventory in QB online

We are an ecommerce business and sell product both from our online store and on Amazon.  Our inventory is located in our onsite warehouse, and we also send product to Amazon for FBA.

I see that Quickbooks Online doesn't support multiple inventory locations, so what is the best way to track our inventory that is located at Amazon?  Ideally we would like to see the amount of inventory available at each location in the Items list, and have the value of the inventory at FBA show on reports like our balance sheet.

You need a 3rd party app as the connector.

How to manage FBA inventory in QB online

Welcome to the Community, @OffTheRadar.

I understand the importance of tracking your inventories in alignment with Amazon in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me share some information regarding this matter.

Using a third-party app is the best way to track inventory located on Amazon since QBO doesn't support multiple inventory locations.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend a particular third-party app for your needs. However, QuickBooks provides a feature that allows you to search for an app that meets your specific requirements. We suggest looking into it that can help you address this particular concern. You can review the apps compatible with QuickBooks to find a suitable solution.

To choose your third-party app using your QBO account, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. On the left navigation panel, select the Apps tab.
  3. Choose Find apps.
  4. Search for the app you wish to connect to in the magnifying glass bar or select the Browse category ▼ to search for an app by category.

Additionally, I’ll be leaving you these articles that tackle how to run a report and customize it afterward:

Keep me posted if you need help when working your inventory in QBO. I’ll jump right back in to assist further. Have a great day ahead!
