How to run a report by subclass and class

I can use filters to chose a class, but how do I add the subclass to a report?

Is there a way to run a report by subclass by class?

How to run a report by subclass and class

Hi there, @pennees.

Can you share with me the type of report you're trying to filter in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT)? Any additional info would be much appreciated.

Right now, you can a Profit and loss by Class to view your classes and subclasses. You can also filter this report to view the data that matter the most to your business. Here's how:

  1. Click Reports.
  2. Choose Company and Financial.
  3. Select the Profit & Loss by Class report.
  4. Click the green arrow to run report.
  5. Choose Customize Report.
  6. Go to the Filters tab.
    1. From the Filter list, select Class.
    2. Choose Multiple Classes.
    3. Put a check mark on the Subclasses you want in the report.
      • Example: 1C, 2C, and 3C.
    4. Hit Ok.
  7. Click Refresh.

You can also memorize reports in QuickBooks if you want the same settings of the customized report to be available for future use.

That should do it! Please don't hesitate to click the Reply button if you have other questions about customizing your reports in QuickBooks Desktop. I'm always here to help.

Thank you. However I was hoping to be able to customize a report to show the subclasses are a column in addition to the classes.
