How to track serial numbers in Quickbooks Online

I can share a few details about tracking your item serial numbers, @FloridaTractor.

Currently, the ability to track serial numbers is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. In your case, I recommend sending Feedback since this is beneficial to your business. This way, our product developer might add this functionality in future updates.

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon on the top right.
2. Select Feedback below Profile.
3. Enter your product suggestion.
4. Hit Next to submit.

Moving forward, you may want to enter the serial number on the sales form's product/service description or add a custom field. This way, you can pull up the Sales by Product/Service Detail report to show Memo/Description or custom field column which has the serial number. I've added some screenshots for visual references:

Here's how:

1. Click Search on the top right.
2. Type product/service and then select Sales by Product/Service Detail report.
3. Click the Mini Gear icon.
4. Hit Show More.
   
   
    
5. Check the Memo/Description or custom field [Serial Number] boxes.
