Adding these products and services in QuickBooks Self Employed will vary slightly from other QuickBooks Online products.

I don't have a toggle button like that. I am trying to change the items in the drop down box for services and items on the actual invoice its self. Does that make sense?

You'll be able to update an invoice item by turning on the invoicing feature.
The unexpected behavior can be caused by too much cache. We'll have to want to perform some basic troubleshooting to resolve this. Start with logging into your account through a private browser. It's the best place to isolate web issues. These are the shortcut keys:
If you already have the toggle button using private browsing session, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache to refresh the program. We advise our users to periodically delete them to avoid and fix web issues.
