I've come with a solution that can help you add an item while working on an estimate or an invoice.
The option to add an item within the estimate or invoice page hasn't changed. Since you're unable to do it, your browser may have data issues causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. To verify, let's log in to your QuickBooks Online account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:
If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different one
Once everything is fine, you may want to run a report to view helpful information on the things you buy and sell, and the status of your inventory. This did not work & I'm still unable to add new products while I'm creating a quote. It's taking me much longer since I have to exit and go into Products & Services. Anyone else know what I could do??

I’d like to let you know that the issue you mentioned has a newly created report. Rest assured that this will be prioritized among other issues. I appreciate your efforts in performing the workaround of adding the Product/Service manually in Product and Services list.
