Welcome to the Community space, @stacy-carnell. It's a pleasure to have you with us. I want to take a moment to clarify the issue regarding why some invoices convert into journal entries during your transition to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
When moving from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QBO, you may notice that certain transactions—particularly checks, invoices, and payments—are converted into journal entries. This conversion typically happens when the system faces challenges in accurately recreating these transactions based on the data from QBDT. This means the original transactions can't be restored in their previous forms in QBO.
To address this issue, you can manually enter each transaction one at a time. This approach allows you to ensure accuracy and maintain complete records. For more details, I've added this resource: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online.
Furthermore, I've got this article to help you manage your income, expenses, inventory, and when you generate reports in QuickBooks Online: Manage QuickBooks account.
Keep in mind that this Community space is here to support you at every step of your journey with QuickBooks. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have further queries or concerns with your data, @stacy-carnell. I wish you nothing but continued success and growth in your business endeavors.
