I do not like the new conversion from estimate to invoice. Can I turn this function of? Can I use use old version? It changes the quantities if you change the price.

Hi there, @williamhughescom.

I have replicated your concern in QuickBook Online. An Estimate doesn't affect your inventory count since these are non-posting transactions. Your inventory count is affected after your estimate is converted into an Invoice. Although, you can add another inventory item to avoid changing the quantity of the other item.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu and choose Products and Services.
  2. Click the New button.
  3. Choose Inventory in the Product/Service information section.
  4. Enter the details in your Inventory and confirm it by clicking Save and close.

I added a some screenshots for your additional reference.

You can also track your inventory manually, kindly check out this article:Can I track inventory manually?

I can see this article can be handy to know more about the impacts of inventory tracking on balance sheet and profit & loss reports in QuickBooks Online.

Loop me in if you need anything else. I'll surely get back to you. Keep safe always.

Did you figure out how to revert the previous version? I HATE the new version.
