I'm grateful you've chosen QuickBooks as your payroll service. And it saddened to hear you go, jimsommerfeld.

Let me outline the steps to accomplish the task of canceling your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. The process will depend on where you signed up for the subscription.

Here are the steps if you've purchased online.

  1. Open a web browser on your computer, not a mobile device.
  2. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an admin user.
  3. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and settings.
  4. Go to Billing & subscription.
  5. From the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online. If you're canceling a trial, choose Cancel trial.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps.

If you've purchased QBO through the Apple App or Google Play store, please browse this article for the detailed steps: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial

Additionally, here are a few things you should know about the life of your data after ending the subscription: What happens to my QBO data after I cancel?

Fill me in if you have goals to achieve before canceling the QBO service. I'm always right here to help you. May your business flourish!
