Hey lleawe0705-aspen,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! With QuickBooks Online, journal entries can only be used as credits toward the invoice, which could be why your journal says it is unpaid in the report. I am adding this article below that shares information on journal credits with invoices:

Thank you for your solution. One more question. I have account receivable. The problem is when I check the balance sheet. I am so surprised that the amount is different because it referred both invoice amount and Journal account amount. In this case how do I correct this duplicate amount?

Thank you for the solution. I have one more question. I am going to send my balance sheet to accountant manager and Account Receivable amount and journal entry amount are showing together so the amount is twice original amount. I do not want to Journal entry on my balance sheet . How do I figure it out ?

Hello there, lleawe0705-aspen.

Thank you for accepting the resolution offered by the previous representative. In response to your follow-up question, it seems that you do not wish to have journal entries on your balance sheet. It would be best to consult with your accountant first to ensure that this is the correct course of action.

I've also added this article just in case you want to learn how to apply a journal entry credit to an invoice in QuickBooks Online.
