As per checking on our list, there is an ongoing investigation (INV-112427) about Mileage tracking is not recording trips, and there are no specific updates yet. Our engineers are working together to gather a resolution as quickly as possible.
If you haven't, you can get in touch with our support team so you'll be added to the list of affected users and receive timely email updates.
Here are the steps to contact us:
- Go to the Help (?) menu, then click Contact Us.
- Enter a brief description of your concern and select Continue.
- Click Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
- Start a chat with a support expert.
- Get a call back from the next available expert.

For the time being, you can consider adding your trips manually while our team are still working on it.
If you're using a mobile app, here's how:
- Open the QuickBooks mobile app.
- Select the menu ☰ icon and then Mileage.
- Select the Unreviewed tab.
- Find the trip. Swipe left to categorize the trip as Business. Or swipe right to categorize it as Personal.
- Add a purpose for the trip.
- Select the vehicle you used.
- Select Save.
If you're on a browser, follow these steps in downloading your trips:
- On the left panel, go to Expenses, then select Mileage.
- Click the Add trip button.
- Enter the Trip date. Then add the Distance, Start point, and End point.
- Select if the trip is for Business or Personal.
- Choose what type of business purpose is that trip for.
- Review the details. Then select Save.
Additionally, you can fix your app whenever you have mileage tracking issues in your QBO mobile app.
