I have created a default template for my invoice; however, when I start a new invoice, it does not pull this format.

It's good to see you here in the Community space, jaime. Let me help you use your invoice template.

The format when creating a new invoice is a standard format that is working as designed. While the invoice template in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is only visible when you print and download it.

Here's how to see your invoice using the template you make:

  1. Select + New, then click Invoice.
  2. Click Manage.
  3. Select the Design dropdown and choose the template you make.
  4. Click Print and download.
  5. Select Save.

Additionally, check out this guide for the steps to generate different reports that give you a snapshot of your business: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

If you have additional concerns regarding invoice templates, please don't hesitate to post them here in the Community space. Stay safe!
