Hi there, @fcapsuto.

Allow me to fill you in on everything you need to know about entering journal entries for payroll transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and help you from there.

When you enter a journal entry for your payroll transactions, the data won't show up in your Payroll Summary report. However, you can run the Journal report to see the payroll data you've entered.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Reports from the left menu.
  2. Search for the Journal report.1.PNG
  3. On the report, you'll see the created journal entries for payroll transactions.

You might want to read this article to learn more about entering payroll checks in QBO: Manually enter payroll paychecks in QuickBooks Online.

Keep in touch if you need any more assistance with this, or there's something else I can do for you. I've got your back. Have a good day.

Has this issue been resolved? I spoke to 4 different agents today, none of which could resolve a similar issue. I manually entered paychecks, but the are not showing on the payroll report. Does anyone in the QBO universe know how to fix this issue? Without the paychecks (plus accompanying taxes) showing on the report, it throws off the IRS forms as well.
