Buy nowEvery year we get an audit for workers comp insurance. I need a report that's only the expense account we have called Subcontractors. It seems I can't just run a transaction detail for any of the expense accounts. I need a detail report for subcontractors. I'm pretty sure I used to be able to do this but can't now on the "enhanced" reports.
I'd love to be able to just run the 10-99 report but some of the subcontractors are corporations and so don't get 10-99's. I've dug all over the forums and can't seem to find an answer for this.
Help please!!
Hello there, @CathyPatterson.
I understand the importance of running a report that only the expense account should show. I'd be glad to assist you in handling this situation.
We can start by running Transaction Detail by Account and use filters to show only the specific expense account you wanted.
Here's how:
You can also add filters by transaction type and change the value to your preference.
If you prefer to use the classic view with your enhanced reports, feel free to select the Switch to Classic View button.
Furthermore, I'd like to provide you with this article to learn how to save reports so you can access them easily in the future: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.
I'd gladly assist if you have further concerns about QuickBooks Online customized transaction reports.
Thank you for adding a screenshot, Cathy.
As of now, we're unable to get a subtotal for each vendor on the report. I recognize the value it would add to the software. With that, I recommend passing on this product suggestion to our developer's team.
By doing this, we will gather input from other customers, particularly those who find this idea advantageous. Here's how:
As a workaround, we can export the Transaction Detail by Account report. Then, calculate the subtotal manually. You can do so by clicking the Export drop-down on the mentioned report, and then selecting Export to Excel.
Moreover, you can browse these articles on how you can manage vendor reports:
I'm always around whenever you have concerns about managing vendor-related reports.
