Hi there, @kathy-newby. I can help you fix this unusual issue about updating your address on your invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

 

Did you get any error messages after updating the work info in the invoice? If yes, you can also share it here so that we can verify it in our system and provide a resolution.

 

In the meantime, I recommend using an incognito window when updating your address on your invoices. If it works, you can go back to the regular browser and clear its cache. This troubleshooting step will help you identify if this is caused by the outdated data saved in your browser. 

 

An alternative way is to use another browser.

 

Here are the shortcut keys to access private window:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge & Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Hold down + Option + P

Hi,  I don't know what an incognito screen is.  I cleared my cache but that did fix the problem.

I'm glad that the troubleshooting steps that my colleague provided you worked. It'll be my pleasure to share some information about Incognito.

 

Incognito is a private version of the browser you use when navigating through the internet. Browsing in Incognito mode means your activity data isn't saved on your device or to a Google Account that's not yours.

Thanks for following up with the Community, kathy-newby.

 

Since your old address is still showing up on new invoices after updating it, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

 

They can be reached while you're signed in.

 

Here's how:

  1. Use your Help (?) option.
  2. Choose Contact us.
  3. In the Ask a question (or tell us what's wrong) field, explain what you're reaching out about.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Select Start a Chat or Talk to a specialist.

 

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
