I want to run a report from quickbooks desktop with customer name and company name

I"m trying to run a quickbooks desktop customer sales report with customer name and company name but failed to add the company name. Currently using Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise 24 version. Is there any way to add this field.

Hello there, Ali.

 

In QuickBooks Desktop, the option to generate the Customer Sales Report that will include the Company name is unavailable. However, there is a workaround, you'll need to generate two reports, the Customer Contact list and Sales by Customer Summary export, and merge them. Follow the steps below.

 

For the Customer Contact list, here's how:

 

  1. Open your QBDT account.
  2. Go to Report, then select Customers & Receivables.
  3. Click Customer Contact List.
  4. Select Customize Report.
  5. Under the Display tab, on the Columns field, put a checkmark you want to display to each column.
  6. Press OK, then select the Excel dropdown.
  7. Click Export.

 

Then, you'll need to generate the Sales by Customer Detail and export it. Once you have the two reports that were exported, you need to merge them to come up with the desired report.

that's not a correct way just to get the company name in a sales report. please send an update and include company name at the sales by customer details tab. And make life easy for everyone.

I can certainly understand how an ability to put a customer company name in sales reports could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

 

You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.

 

Here's how:
 

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Help, then Send Feedback Online.
  2. Click Product Suggestion.
  3. Enter your feedback.
  4. Select Send Feedback.
